More Game Of Thrones spin-offs are on the way as A Knight Of Seven Kingdoms begins production. More on the series below.
House Of The Dragon season 2 is just getting started, but there’s even more Game Of Thrones goodness ahead of us.
A Knight Of Seven Kingdoms has started production in Belfast, Ireland, as reported by Variety. The series is set 100 years after the events of House Of The Dragon and a 100 years before the events of Game Of Thrones and follows Ser Duncan the Tall (played by Peter Claffey) and his squire, Egg (played by Dexter Sol Ansell).
Here’s the full synopsis: “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”
Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Tanzyn Crawford, Daniel Ings and Sam Spruell are joining Claffey and Ansell in the cast. The series is adapted from George R.R. Martin’s novella The Hedge Knight and Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith are directing three episodes each of the 6-episode first season.
You can also peek at the first image at the top of this post. HBO hasn’t announced a release window for A Knight Of Seven Kingdoms yet, but the news come only a couple of months after Kit Harington revealed that HBO won’t be moving forward with a Jon Snow prequel after all.
