Zavvi has inked a new deal with Disney, that’s going to see plenty of animated films heading to the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format in the months ahead.
A year or two after it looked like Disney’s support of physical media was wavering comes a brand new deal with Zavvi in the UK regarding its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases.
Zavvi has announced that it’s inked an exclusive deal with Disney for the release of 25 Disney and Pixar 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray titles in the UK. Some of these will be titles that have made it to the format elsewhere in the world already, others are yet to be announced.
What we do know is that the first four films will be A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles. Again, these have enjoyed a 4K disc release in the US and Australia some time ago, but no complaints here we’re finally catching up.
New titles will be released weekly over the coming months, according to the Zavvi press release. As we hear more, we’ll let you know…
