Joanna Hogg’s The Eternal Daughter will hit UK cinemas in October, a season of her films is also planned at BFI Southbank.
Joanna Hogg has an impressive filmography, not least because The Souvenir pipped Parasite to the post and nabbed the top spot in Sight and Sound’s Best Films of 2019 list. The sequel topped the same list in 2021.
A season of Hogg’s films will run at BFI Southbank from the 16th October to the 30th November. You can find out more information over at the BFI.
Her next film is The Eternal Daughter, which tells the story of an artist and her elderly mother as they return to a former family home, now a hotel, haunted by its mysterious past.
Tilda Swinton plays both roles in the film, alongside Joseph Mydell and Carly Sophia-Davies. Martin Scorsese is among the executive producers.
The Eternal Daughter will be released in UK cinemas on the 27th October.
