After the success of last yearās sequel Hocus Pocus 2, Hocus Pocus 3 is officially pressing ahead at Disney.
The original
Hocus Pocus wasn’t a big success when originally released, but over time it’s become the movie many people watch as a matter of tradition every Halloween. At one stage, it got to the point where Disney was said to be selling around a million DVD copies globally every October. A sequel eventually followed.
With a quotable script and a cast led by Bette Midler (who looks like she is having the absolute time of her life), belated sequel
Hocus Pocus 2, directed by Anne Fletcher from a script she co-wrote with Jen DāAngelo, finally landed on Disney+ last year. It was the fifth most streamed film of 2022.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter,
Hocus Pocus 3 is now officially in development at Disney. Fletcher and DāAngelo will return to direct and co-write the script.
There is not yet any confirmation of whether Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles as The Sanderson Sisters. Midler in partucular has been vocal in interviews about being eager to reprise her role as Winifred.
Weāll keep you updated as we hear more.
