Vertigo inducing thriller Fall is getting a sequel, thanks to the success of the original movie on Netflix. Much like Buried and Open Water, last year’s Fall took a simple concept to terrifying extremes – what if you were stuck on a platform thousands of feet in the air with no way down? Though taking a tidy sum at the box office, grossing $21 million against a budget of $3 million, it is on Netflix where the film really found its audience, making its way into the top ten ranking in four territories. Director Scott Mann and Tea Shop Productions are in discussions about a sequel. Quite what form that would take is unclear, other than the fact that it will be another story set at an immense height. Producer James Harris said that they ā€œdon’t want to make something that feels like a copycat or less than the first oneā€. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
