Pirates Of The Caribbean set coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK

The Pirates Of The Caribbean films are getting a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray boxset in the UK: more details here. It’s been a while since the five Pirates Of The Caribbean films made their way to the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format elsewhere in the world. Now though, Disney has finally decided it’s our turn in the UK to get a boxset of the 4K discs. As such, the Pirates Of The Caribbean set – including all five films to date – is due in UK stores on March 27th 2023. They come with Blu-rays of the films too. You can find more on the release, and order a copy, here. One work of caution, though. The Pirates Of The Caribbean films were heavily criticised for their 4K transfer, and it’s unclear if Disney has remastered them again for their UK release. We’d be surprised. That means these aren’t too much of an upgrade if that’s the case, with the consensus being you’re as well sticking with the Blu-rays in truth. That said: who knows? Disney may have gone the extra distance.
