Nanny win the Sundance Grand Jury Prize earlier this year, but she was also announced
last month as the director of a new film in the legendary
Night Of The Living Dead series for Village Roadshow Pictures.
It has now been revealed that Jordan Peeleās Monkeypaw Productions has swooped in to secure Jusuās talents for another project, adapting Jusuās own 2019 vampire short
Suicide By Sunlight into a feature-length film. āMy project with Monkeypaw is an expansion of a short film I made called
Suicide By Sunlight,ā Jusu told
Deadline, āabout day-walking Black vampires who are protected from the sun by their melanin.ā
The original short film was set āin a near-future New York Cityā and tells the story of Valentina, who āis forced to suppress her bloodlust to regain custody of her estranged daughters.ā
Itās not yet known whether the feature film adaptation will develop the same plot or simply keep the core concept but if your interest is piqued, you can watch Jusuās original short on Vimeo right

As for
Nanny, you can catch the highly-anticipated thriller when it gets a limited release on this Friday in cinemas before hitting Amazon Prime Video in mid-December.
