Warner Bros has won a competitive bidding war to secure Zoe Kravitz’s talents for The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets.

The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets having been acquired by Warner Bros. Interest in the project was reportedly high, with the studio coming out on top following a competitive ‘bidding war’, according to
The Hollywood Reporter. Kravitz’s cachet is high at the moment following her stellar turn in
The Batman, where she crafted a memorable interpretation of Selina Kyle that rivaled previous screen incarnations of the character.
The project sounds like a lot of fun too. Described as a heist movie with a supernatural twist, the story is ‘centered on bank-robbing twins — one with supernatural powers and one without. One twin is named Maggie, who is the brains and the brawn with her telekinesis, super-strength, language fluency, invincibility and more, while the narrator is the self-appointed face of the operation. This twin will follow Maggie every step of the way, but when their newest venture goes awry, she begins to have a second thoughts about the life they lead, especially when the gunfire starts to hail on her and her impenetrable sister.’
The project is based on a short story by Lenya Krow, who also has other stories undergoing the adaptation treatment, including
Sinkhole, a novel that has been picked up by Jordan Peele.
