Shooting will soon commence on the film A Different Man, which will see Sebastian Stan once more portray a tortured soul.
A24 has announced that Sebastian Stan will be leading the cast for
A Different Man, a psychological thriller that the studio is firing into production imminently. Shooting is set to begin next month, with Stan leading a cast which also includes Renate Reinsve and Adam Pearson.
The story for the film āfollows Edward, an outcast seeking a new life and fresh start. After he undergoes facial reconstructive surgery, he becomes fixated on a man starring as him in a stage production based on his former life.ā
It all sounds wonderfully strange to us and as with most A24 projects, promises to push the psychological aspects of the story into some interesting territory.
Stan is best known for his work as Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More so than with most MCU characters, Stan was able to portray both goodness and darkness in his version of Barnes and its typified the roles heās chosen elsewhere too.
Fresh, released earlier this year on Disney+ saw him balance charm with a very, very dark streak, whilst his turn in the action espionage flick,
The 355 took a similar path. Stan will next be seen as a conman in
Sharper whilst weāll likely see him in
A Different Man next year. Weāll bring you more on this one as we hear it.
