As we’ve come to expect from Joaquin Phoenix, his latest film – C’mon, C’mon – has been earning strong critical reviews at film festivals ahead of its release early next month here in the UK. Now, A24 has released a new trailer for writer-director Mike Mills’ new black-and-white film which features Phoenix in the lead role.
Phoenix stars as a middle-aged radio journalist in this one, who forges a tenuous but transformational relationship with his precocious young nephew (Woody Norman) when they are unexpectedly thrown together on a cross-country trip.
Gaby Hoffman, Molly Webster, Jaboukie Young-White, and Scoot McNairy co-star in the film, which was shot in New York, L.A., Detroit and New Orleans between 2019 and 2020.
