Ben Affleck and Tye Sheridan headline George Clooney’s latest film as director, entitled The Tender Bar: here’s the trailer for it.
It debuted at the London Film Festival earlier this week, and now the first trailer has arrived for George Clooney’s latest film as director. It goes by the name of The Tender Bar, and it gives a lead role to Ben Affleck.
The film is an adaptation of a book by J R Moehringer, and he’s played in the film by Tye Sheridan. Also in the cast for this one are Lily Rabe, Max Martini, Christopher Lloyd, Sondra James, Max Casella and Briana Middleton.
The script was put together by William Monahan, and the movie has been funded by Amazon. As such, it’s getting a release in cinemas this coming December, before debuting on Prime Video from January 7th next year.

The Tender Bar tells the story of J.R. (Sheridan), a fatherless boy growing up in the glow of a bar where the bartender, his Uncle Charlie (Affleck), is the sharpest and most colorful of an assortment of quirky and demonstrative father figures. As the boy’s determined mother (Rabe) struggles to provide her son with opportunities denied to her — and leave the dilapidated home of her outrageous if begrudgingly supportive father (Christopher Lloyd) — J.R. begins to gamely, if not always gracefully, pursue his romantic and professional dreams — with one foot persistently placed in Uncle Charlie’s bar. The Tender Bar is based on the best-selling memoir of the same name by J.R. Moehringer.
