The original animated Transformers movie is getting a brand new remaster, as well as a Blu-ray and 4K release.
Before Michael Bay came along and redefined people’s expectations of what a
Transformers movie should be, there was the much-loved animated movie from the 1980s.
The Transformers: The Movie remains much loved for many reasons, not least the childhood trauma it inflicted on a generation of youngers. And now it’s getting a brand new disc release, including its debut on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format.
The film’s new 4K version had come to light a few weeks ago, but it’s finally been confirmed for UK release as well. Universal will be putting the film back out into the world on October 25
th, with 4K and Blu-ray versions listed.
