Gal Gadot speaks out in a little more detail about her experience on the troubled DC Films production, Justice League.
We’ve known for some time that the production of Justice League was not a happy one, with problems really developing when original director Zack Snyder was replaced by the Avengers Assemble helmer, Joss Whedon.
The actor who played Cyborg, Ray Fisher, has been very vocal about his experiences on the film but Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, has been quieter to date, only alluding to an“experience” with Whedon, “which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups.”
Now, in an interview with Israeli news group N12, she has expanded a little upon the nature of that ‘experience’, stating, “he kind of threatened my career and said if I did something, he would make my career miserable, and I just took care of it instead.”
It’s been suspected for some time that this was the case, but it seems that in the wake of further allegations against Whedon, Gadot feels able to talk about the incident in specifics.
The actor also spoke briefly about her Death On The Nile co-star Armie Hammer, who is also facing serious allegations, saying “it’s very complex. If the truth is that he did things [alleged of him], then a person has to pay the price for his actions and take responsibility. I don’t know what will happen.”
With Hammer playing a role within a large ensemble cast of the upcoming Poirot sequel, it’s unclear whether Disney can work around his part or whether as yet, the film will get a large-scale release at all. As we hear more, we’ll let you know.
