The trailer for Zach Snyder’s highly anticipated film Army Of The Dead was released this afternoon.
‘Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.’
The film will be released on Netflix on the 21st May 2021 and looks set to be a wild thrill ride. It’s Snyders second zombie film after his 2004 Dawn Of The Dead remake, however, he has not commented on whether or not Army Of The Dead serves as a sequel, or if it is even set in the same universe.
The film has had a long journey making it’s to the big screen, spending over a decade in production issues before being picked up by Netflix in 2019. Following the film’s production, in August 2020 Tig Notaro was announced as a replacement for a cast member who was cut from the film. Notaro has been inserted into the film through a combination of reshoots and digital compositing. It also marks Snyder’s return to film-making following Justice League and his first non-DC film since 2011 (Sucker Punch).
Check out the Vegas-themed poster released alongside the trailer.
