The upcoming thriller Fatale has opted to go for the theatrical release route this December, at least in the US – here’s the trailer.
The trailer has landed for Fatale, Lionsgate’s upcoming heated thriller that was originally delayed into 2021 before being granted a December 2020 release slot.
Hilary Swank stars opposite David Ealy in a steamy tale of a one-night stand that threatens to destroy a sports agent’s life upside down. His seemingly brief encounter with an unrelenting police detective instead leads to her ensnaring him into her latest criminal investigation and his whole life is threatened.
Fatale is directed by Deon Taylor and written by David Loughery, who recently combined on the 2019 sleeper hit, The Intruder.
The film was originally set to release in July before being delayed into 2021, with Lionsgate ultimately opting for a December theatrical release. It’s an interesting attempt to seize upon the barren theatrical landscape at the moment, in the hope that audiences will be willing to venture out to cinemas to see the film.
There’s no official UK release date yet, but we could we’ll be looking at December 18th, which is the date the film launched on the US. In the meantime, you can catch the trailer below.
